I have tried to carve out my own niche, with very little success. Although things are now trending in the right direction. I am for the most part paying for sins of the past, initially started out marketing my site via a lot of spam, got black-listed in the worst way, drop from a few domains, etc. Traffic is now trending back up and finally got a ranking again, but it has taken a while.
