Hi Lisa,
i would like to know more about dedicated server,what does it mean and what its use for?
and does we need to use dedicated server to launch a social networking site? what happen if i use regular and cheap hosting plan? is it still working or not? and do i need to use this dedicated server hosting even this is the first time this social networking site being launched?

plss and pls reply i need ur help.

many open source, means every one can develop it, so offten they better then paid web sites

and u can get a lot different customisable scripts

Hi,
Just to let you know that I have finally launched the beta version of my social networking website. I’ve spent over 2 years working on this thing and I’m so proud of myself
Anyway, thanks Lisa, for all your tips. This video was extremely helpful and it looks like you know what you’re saying.

Hi lisa, my name is Orville Wedderburn I am one of those people trying to start a social networking website… The thing about it is that I know nothing about making one myself. I do marketing so I know how to get around the world of business, I learn a little about web and came up with an Idea that will have a facebook impact in record time, over 20 million in less that a year. Like how you have myspace, hi5 and facebook running the same race my idea will be like youtube, not with videos but that it will have no major competitors, it will be free and it means alot to you. HI lisa,

I think that you don’t understand Ning. Ning allows you to edit beyond many other hosts. And although it does take alot of work it’s very rewarding. And you are wrong about not having your own domian on Ning. Ning also allows you to place adsense ads on your social network. Be careful about what you say about certain hosts.
