Welcome New Subscribers!

I’m trying something new to ensure I get to know more about you and what you need.  After all, the more I know, the more I can help and target my content toward you.

You took the time to subscribe to my list, so the least I can do is get to know more about you and why you’re here.

However, please understand that I will not be able to answer everyone directly.  I will be using your feedback here to publish better content and videos for you in the future.

In fact, I have revamped my FAQs with answers to common questions, so please check those out.

Now, I’d appreciate it if you’d take a few moments to tell me more about yourself and what you’d like to learn.  Here are some starter questions to get you going, but feel free to add whatever information you’d like.

1) Do you have a website yet?

2) Why did you subscribe to my newsletter?

3) What would you like to learn more about?  Please be specific.

4) What is your biggest challenge right now? (if any)

Just enter your feedback below.  Please don’t be shy.  You can use a pen name if you wish to remain anonymous.

Your e-mail address will not be displayed or shared with anyone.  It is only for commenting validation.

Thanks to everyone who has submitted feedback thus far.  It has been invaluable and helped me write my new book, Niche Website Success — which is a guide that teaches you how to build a website and make money with affiliate marketing, AdSense, and more.

Don’t forget to check out my FAQs!

    Hello Lisa,

First of all, you do a great job! I’m helping my sister with a site she is building. The website looks great and is very informative. But the site is only a couple of months old and she is frustrated that it isn’t getting more hits. She is like a lot of new website owners who think all you need to do is get it on the web and money flows.

A successful website takes a lot of time and effort. It’s not just waiting for spiders to find you. If SEO (Search Engine Optimization) were easy, there wouldn’t be thousands of books and companies dedicated to the subject.

You do a very good job explaining all of this, everyone should read your advice and follow it and remember, this isn’t an overnight process. Just be patient and keep going.

    Great Job,
    Tom

    Hello Lisa,
    1) Do you have a website yet?
I am developing a music website with friends. I also am creating my own products for Jv partnerships but have no website yet for these.

    2) Why did you subscribe to my newsletter?
I think you are really professional and content is great.

    3) What would you like to learn more about? Please be specific.
Creating web pages. Blogging. All aspects of marketing.

    4) What is your biggest challenge right now? (if any)
Completing my first product and then working on expanding the idea to a full working successful website that I can be proud of and that people will enjoy viewing.
    Thank you,
    Jon

I do have a website that I’m using for betta testing and plan to subscribe to SBI for my next launch soon!

After finding you on YouTube and listening to what you had to say about Affiliate Marketing, and using WordPress I knew I wanted to hear more from you. I’m in the beginning stages of learning Internet/Affiliate Marketing so anything you have to say…I’m all ears especially when it comes to layout and design of a website.

I would like to learn more about how to create a business newsletter, using and understanding clickbank, build a website – hands on and also affiliate marketing.

My biggest challenge right now is using the necessary funds wisely to make those dreams and desires become reality.

    Hi Lisa,

I resubscribed just to see how slick that AWeber interface is. LOL. No, seriously, you’re an inspiration and I want to make sure I don’t miss any insights.

    1) Do you have a website yet?
Yes. A blog, actually, that is doing double-duty as my single presence on the web – not counting social media profiles.

    2) Why did you subscribe to my newsletter?
You have been a source of good information since I met you.

    3) What would you like to learn more about? Please be specific.
Finding 1,000 True Fans without pandering to the nebulous idea of an ill-defined social media strategy. (Specific enough? LOL)

    4) What is your biggest challenge right now? (if any)
Convincing myself that Social Media, like blogs, are TOOLS, not an end to themselves. The pervasive perception amongst the members of the blogosphere continually pushes out the contrarian signal that “social” means chatting and pretending that we don’t want to sell something.

That may have been the initial sense of sites like Facebook and Twitter but, that doesn’t mean other uses are, by default, illegitimate and spammy.

    Cheers,

    Mitch

    Hi Lisa:

I’ve enjoyed your YouTube videos for quite some time, and I’ve heard Dr. Ken Evoy (of SBI) say good things about you. You are the only other “guru” I pay attention to; there is almost too much information on the web. You and Ken both seem to have the ability to make it simple.

I have a website about Florida travel, history and culture. It is not quite three years old. I receive income from Google Adsense, a few affiliates and some paid links.

Your newsletter always teaches me something, so I subscribed. As you instructed, today I unsubscribed and resubscribed. Neat idea!

I chose too broad and deep a “niche” for my website. I’m competing with State sponsored sites and Wikipedia. I’d like to learn how to pare it down and refocus without losing my Google rankings for several of my keywords.

My biggest challenge is to increase income from my site. I get about 500 unique visitors/day, but with almost 400 pages I’m not getting the clicks I need or the attention from potential sponsors or advertisers.

You are tremendously busy, so I don’t expect an answer. Just want you to know I appreciate your general advice.

    Hi Lisa,
I came across your website some months ago. I am an Egyptian mechanical engineer who switched to web development out of interest. My native tongue is Arabic but I moderately master English as you might notice. I am basically a self-learner who launched a second release of his website about a week ago. Actually, you are the one who attractively introduced me to CSS & affiliate marketing; I have to admit. I very much like your plain english, your teaching style & your devotion. So,How could you best help me? Just send me tips about site layout & strategies of making money online. I will very much appreciate a few words from you after you review my website. Thank you in advance.

Hi Lisa Yes I have a website and a blog. I use word press and I find it very easy to use. I also use XSite Pro2. I subscribed to your newsletter to find out more information on Word Press and blogging. I also like your relaxed style. I am from Scotland but now live in Spain and my blog is about Spain. I am an ex TV producer so my blog is full of videos which I personally produced here in Spain. My blog is doing reasonably well but would like to go out to more people. Can someone tell me how to change font sizes without using HTML if possible. You are restricted in sizes thats my only complaint. Thanks for the information Lisa and best wishes from Spain. Harry

I want tips, tricks, advice, whatever to help my website get more traffic.

    3) What would you like to learn more about? Please be specific.
How to get more people to my website. How to get people following my brand and how to get a large following. How to make serious money with advertising and without being a huge pest to the people that go to my website.

    4) What is your biggest challenge right now? (if any)
Getting people to go to my website and reaching out to new people. Getting a good following, I have thousands of downloads on my website but hardly anyone likes the fan page or follows the twitter. I also want to get more money off ads. Its takes a few months for me to get $100. All the work I put in I hardly make a dollar a day.

Hi Lisa my name is Britney, and I subscribed to your newsletter to learn how to get more traffic.

I do have a website (www.monisaklosetoffashion.com), that I created for my mother to get her boutique get a little exposure & to help her build her clientele locally. However, she started telling me that people we’re actually calling from other states complimenting her on how nice the site was and also even trying to order items that we’re in the gallery. (This was before I created the online store.) Which I just started on today.

Now I’m being told that it might be time to take this site more serious & try to make it work global. That’s why I’ve turned to you and your expertise. Building the site was easy all it took was 6 hours and a camera phone. However, getting a lot of people to find it is my BIGGEST CHALLENGE. I know when dealing with anything online in order to make it work you have to have traffic of course. I knew before I created the website that, that would be my biggest issue. Now that I’m face to face with that brick wall I need help climbing it. Luckily I found you and your website to hopefully help me with that.

I would like to learn all the tip and tricks you can teach me about trafficking. Anything and everything I need to know in order to go from 20 clicks a day to 2,020 clicks a day. I’m open to all your advise.

How your site can assist me? Oh, just let me create my own website, and that will be it.

I am on Facebook, so you will gather some bits and pieces about me there. I have also visited your fan page on Facebook. I hope I can invite you to visit my website by Christmas. Won’t that be absolutely fantastic?

    Best wishes,

I would like to make money as an affiliate mostly because I’m a single patent and a student and to have a job at home is convenient, I don’t spend money with my car (driving to work and from work) and I get to spend more time with my daughter
but I’m not soure if this will work in my country (Slovenia,Europe), because I write in my language but i’m thinking of writing in English as well- this market is getting more and more competative

Lisa, I have 3 web sites:
gsegmedia.com where I sell Metal Sculpture Instructional Videos.

videoyourskill.com which is for those wanting to do “How To” videos. I’ve shot, edited and produced 33 DVDs which are 60 to 70 minute videos and about 79 YouTube videos.

Doing these videos I’ve figured out simple step by step procedures to get it done and not be overwhelming.

A new site I am working on is oldsingleguy.com. Being single for the last thirty years I’ve got some ways to simplify life. With the single male baby boomers retiring I think this has a future.

My main goals are to develop the two new websites, add more YouTube videos and increase traffic. Adsense is coming along and I want to see it increase. Also like to get into affiliate marketing.

Also, get some systematic way of using Twitter and Facebook.

I’m excited about the new Kindle 8 format. Currently I have five eBooks on Amazon for the Kindle or for Kindle PC. The New Format 8 will be much better suited for the instructional manuals I now have for the Kindle.

Why did I subscribe? First off you are an amazing person and I am so impressed with what you have done for yourself and others. I’ve been self employed for the last forty years so I can appreciate someone making the leap from employed to self employed.

You seem to have things pretty much together for your business. I on the other hand have a lot going on but always so many loose ends. Hopefully by following you I will be able to tie up some of these loose ends.

In addition, you have a great smile!

    Lisa,
No I do not yet have a website. I’m confused as to the best way to do this. Should I create and publish a HOME/MAIN domain site using my name and then sub-domains for adsense sites? My goal for now is to biuld small adsense sites I can rank and hold for a short while and then flip to generate working capitol. My income is very limited and unless I can generate the money through my efforts online I’ll remain stuck in the same old funk.

I was forced to retire due to an illness that cost me everything I ever worked for. I sold everything of value just to keep up with my medical cost’s. This, after my insurance maxed out and they cut me loose. Now my only source of income is Social Security and believe me $765 a month is not enough to live on. I struggle each month just to make the rent and few bills I have.

Not one to sit and cry I know I can do this IM thing and better my situation. I just need some step by step guidance on how to go about it. Unlike many others, I’m not looking for or wanting the big bucks. I just want to live out my days not having to grovel and pinch every penny to survive. I worked hard all my life and deserve better than what I am experiencing.

My Long Term Goal is to build authority sites to hold onto and live off the residual income they generate. I don’t want a job again! Been there done that – and it sucks! I don’t want people to manage and please (affiliates) and a list of customers to always pamper. Funny how so many people that come into IM have this dream of reaping without sowing. I don’t care what the guru’s say, Affiliate Marketing is a job! And to win at it one has to commit long hours of blood, sweat and tears or FAIL. I’m not interested in that! There is however, other ways of making a good living without all the toil and that is what I am after.

I came across your site while searching for info on Adsense Marketing. I have gathered a ton of material on the subject and have begun going through it. I have a long ways to go but I am determined to learn all I can and make it work for me. One shortcoming I have is severe dyslexia and reading has always been very hard for me. I normally have to read things several times to get the gist of what is being conveyed, Fortunately there are now a lot of video/audio products available which make it easier for me.

One thing I would like to have your opinion on is Article Site Builder’s. Do they really work and are they worth their investment. I am a member of a site where a few people are using something similar and are building/creating these 4 to 5 page sites and flipping them before they’re even ranked or have traffic. Depending on the Niche and Keywords used these tiny sites are selling upwards of $350. It’s a tight knit group that is doing this and they are NOT sharing their software so I thought an Article Site Builder would work.

I guess my biggest challenge today is not knowing what steps to take. Do I go with WP as my main platform and how do I structure my site? If my intent is to flip these adsense sites do I create them as independent domains or subdomains? Not sure how this works. Next is, if I don’t use an Article Site Bldr how can I use PLR to create these small sites, preferably using WP. I say use PLR because again my dyslexia makes it difficult for me to write and create my own content. I hope to get a Voice Recognition Software where I won’t be typing but speaking instead. That I know will help me overcome my writng difficulties to a great extent.

    Thanks, Alex

I suffer from a bening disease for which there is no cure yet. I created LipomaForum in the beginning of this year to promote discussion and to share ideas and possible alternative treatments.

I’m also in the field of technology and marketing so I stumbled upon Lisa’s site almost by accident via youtube video. I actually don’t really remember why I was watching the make money online videos but I first stumbled upon Michael Cheney’s videos. I soon noticed they were all a couple of years old so I searched more recent ones and found Lisa’s funny personality.

I later decided to add Adsense to my site and have then on tried to get more visitors to my site for two obvious reasons 1) to get more information about lipomas and treatments 2) to monetize my site better. I have been satisfied for the information about Adsense found on this site but I eager even more 🙂 And just recently I have considered of creating other income methods to my site…

    Thanks, Matt

I joined the newsletter because your info is so clear to understand and you are quite a teacher. I want to learn more about the basics of getting a good content website up and running and learn as I go. My biggest challenge is lack of knowledge, It all seems so overwhelming. I understand the concept, but need direction on where I need to go from here. I use brain host and it is quite informative. Every day I read and watch videos and try to learn. Personally I stumble upon your site via Youtube and I was instanly drawn into what you had to say and your willingness to share without that bottom line you get from other IM’s (meaning $$$$). Now that I have found 2createawebsite I plan to spend as much time reading articles to help me brainstorm. You are a gift from heaven

I am almost 80 years old and recareering after a thirty year career in broadcasting and speaking.
I’ve constructed two WP websites with my own geriatric fingers, but I don’t know what to do next.
Any possible step by step info as to layout, editing, content, etc would be helpful. Also, I have a pop up
autoresponder on one site, but would rather have it in the upper right hand corner like yours. How to get it there?
Should you have a minute to look, my main website is http://www.itsnevertoolate.com
and the two WP sites are http://www.sixtyplusdatebook.com and http://www.downsizersclub.com.
Thanks for any help you can give.

    Hi Lisa,
    1. No website yet.
    2. I subscribed to you because you separate yourself from the others as being honest. Your site(s) and Youtube are very informative. So I think you will get my thinking right with starting a website. At lease making one site to showcase my rentals. And, well, not to be too forward…you are also easy on the eyes.
    3. The main things for me to learn more about is getting my thoughts on paper so it comes out logical and understandable, learning to video for Youtube. And the mechanics of a site. The affiliate thing I can see, but I want to figure out how to offer then sell the world my knowledge and skills. Which is to buy, remodel, then rent and manage residential properties.
    4. My biggest challenge is, I don’t see right now how to offer value. And what to offer. Maybe it’s because I’ve (wife too) been in the business for years and it just seems too simple. I think spending time learning from you will spark me to get off my butt and make a site or two!

Thanks for your time, – Rich

    1. No website yet.
    2. I stumbled upon your website on my lunch break a couple of days ago on Google searching for info on using their keyword tool. Immediately I was impressed by the variety of posts you have available. You and your site seem so genuine in the desire to help people in the internet marketing field.
    3. I would like to know what you think is the most efficient way for a newbie to start earning a good side income. Is it thru niche sites combined with adsense ads, affiliate sales, etc…? I have a few things I am passionate about and could write content for but I don’t know if they would bring traffic.
    4. My biggest challenge is just getting started! Like so many I have a case of analysis paralysis! I listen to several podcasts from a mix of internet marketing pros but it’s so hard to figure out where to start out. Do I start looking for a niche with Google’s keyword tool or try to find products to market on affiliate network websites or something else entirely?

I have a big chunk of personal debt I’d like to somehow payoff the right way but don’t know how to get started making a living (or good side income) online. I’m truly blessed to have a day job I love but it just isn’t enough these days money wise.

Thanks for doing what you do!

Hi Lisa! I know you don’t have time to address all emails directly but I researched for about 6 months to find legit people with legit ideas etc. I found you…and one other person that I even have had a personal phone call with. I like the honest and up front part of both you people. That is why I subscribed and continue to recommend you to others. I figured I if I am going to do this I want to do it right and not get scammed. I am 57 and had a physical bus. for about 17 yrs. Economy etc….no more business. So online I go. I am fairly savvy but am very overwhelmed with all the info. So to answer those above questions. I do have a site I just started but am so not used to working with all the new terms like widgets, HTML/Java Script, RSS, Feeds… etc. to design. Unless you are familiar with all this stuff you will never know how to coordinate or put together a productive site. Used to use FrontPage/Dreamweaver etc so I didn’t need to know all this stuff when I designed a very nice site for the business. I am an owner of SBI but am still learning it. I wasn’t sure if it was the right thing to get involved with but again after research I made the plunge and then found you also were very supportive of it. That was a relief. I was glad I got involved with it. There was something you said about SBI. That if you were going to talk about the product or become an affiliate for SiteSell you shuld really own the product you are promoting. Puts a little validity in the person who is selling it. Plus you really can talk about the product honestly because you use it.
I would like to learn more about the affiliate industry, Clickbank, and putting a good site together. My biggest challenge is sorting out all this info and getting even just one thing completed (online) to start being productive. I don’t know how one does 10-20 site/blogs. I can barely get one totally put together. I am very savvy but this is such new ground for me. I Thank you for the inspiration you are. I folllow you religiously Lisa and am glad I found you and your site. Whish me luck girl….I hope to be somewhat as successful as you are in a couple of years. Thanks again Deb Vancouver Island British Columbia, Canada
**Would like to kknow how one puts an ebook on their site/blog as an offer. I have two I want to share but they are not in the form I downloaded them in. The little book icon.**

Greetings Ms Lisa – I appreciate how you welcome your new subsribers – class act.

Yes, I do have a couple of websites. I lucked upon your website while seeking assistance with how to use fantastico with my whm and cpanel. Your tutorials are extremely helpful. I knew I needed to keep you within reach. I also now follow you on twitter.

I have started producing mini videos (www.SquareBe.com). My first free videos share tips on earning an income working from home as a customer service representative. It has proven to be helpful to a number of folks, that’s a great feeling. I could really use some direction in adding affiliate links to this site.

Also, working my way through the maze of understanding the whm, cpanel and wordpress and how they work together. Looking forward to designing personalized mini video products.

Thanx for the opportunity to share this info and once again, your’e a class act!!!

Hi Lisa, no I do not have a website yet, will be working on one soon. I subscribed to your newsletter because the internet market interest me greatly and I have come to realize I know so little about affiliate marketing and marketing in general. In trying to start my business, I have come upon many sites that want you to pay money to train and help my development; your site was the first that offered so much valued content without taking a chunk out of my pocket first. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind paying for services rendered, however was a relief to find someone offereing such an educational as your site with the added value benefits that I have found on your site. This is by far the best training and educational site I have found for assisting me start my business. I am reading your book and helpful hints about what to do and not do and the pitfalls and you have really helped me. Thank you for you website.
I want to build my site correctly; my goal is to build a profitable business, but also to provide educational content as well to help people needing assistance with personal, career development. I enjoy helping others.
My biggest challenge now is education myself in creating a viable website correctly, trying to learn all I can about creating and marketing a quality website.

      Hello Lisa
I do have a website. It’s up and running but still working on it.
I found your website when I was researching affiliate marketing. Really not sure what I am doing yet, but do enjoy your sites, and YouTube videos. I haven’t had much time lately to work on my site since the holidays have come.

I would like to learn more about nich sites. Exactly how to get traffic to my site. My biggest challenge I guess is getting traffic. I only have a few people a day if any. I had sign up with the six figure program only because they said my website would be created for me. Since I had no Idea how to go about this it seem like the right way to go. Didn’t realize the site was going to be so generic. The theme doesn’t really go with my niche. So I’m not sure what to do.
So any help would be great
      Thank you
      Steve
