Thanks to everyone who has submitted feedback thus far. It has been invaluable and helped me write my new book, Niche Website Success — which is a guide that teaches you how to build a website and make money with affiliate marketing, AdSense, and more.
Hi Lisa,
I think you are the best webmaster in the world because you fave feelings, I have been reading and listening to thousands of of so-called specialists of web, but I can see that their first interest is getting money from you and not helping you You are sincere and I like that. How do I Know you are good? I just feel it when I listen to your videos and read your site. Keep on being like that.
Thank yoy very much.Daniela
Hello Lisa. I have been listening to you for years, and 2012 will be my year for actually moving on your advice.
Here are my answers to the questions you have asked:
1) Do you have a website yet?
No, I do not. I had an SBI website that actually did not work for me, because I did not do what I was supposed to do to make it a success.
I know that if I put the tools that SBI has in place to work for me, my website will be a success.
I’m already working on finding a profitable niche with the Market Samurai free 45 day trial. Once I find the niche for me I’m off to buy SBI – under your affiliate link of course because you were the first to introduce me to SBI.
2) Why did you subscribe to my newsletter?
I subscribed to your newsletter because I appreciate your sound advice.
3) What would you like to learn more about? Please be specific.
Nothing new, I think you have the entire spectrum covered – oh wait a minute – I would perhaps like to learn more about succeeding as an affiliate marketer.
Once my SBI site is established and earning, I would like to get down to some serious work as a 5P Affiliate. I am seriously thinking about doing a lot of offline work to promote SBI.
4) What is your biggest challenge right now? (if any)
Finding a niche that I can be excited about. I have Adult ADHD, and it is VERY easy for me to get bored.
In the past I have focused on finding a profitable niche, and that has failed for me, but I know that if I find a niche that I am truly passionate about, I will succeed.
Sorry this was so long winded, but I was glad to hear from you. I look forward to a very successful 2012 on the net and with you.

The reason for creating this site was to make Buddhist mantras available to monks, nuns and civilians. It is a free website which I wish to make more visible. At the present moment, it is extremely difficult to find this information in one place. I’ve seen only one site that caters to Buddhists in the Theravada school.
I’ve managed to sort myself out by trial and error, but right now, I could really use help in 2 areas. One, how can I make this site more visible? Two, how do I add mp3 audio to my site as a link? I am a Buddhist nun, with not much in the way of income. There is a great need for the kind of site that I have built, but this is to be a free service. Any help and advice from you about this would be most appreciated.. I remain with respect, Mae Chi Margo
I already have a wesite

Hi Lisa,
I don’t have a website yet, I subscribed to your newsletter to learn more about how to start a website. Your e-book was very helpful. Thank you for providing such useful information. My website is going to be for selling products. If I get a domain name and host from website palace and choose the quick shopping cart option, will I still be able to add articles in my website as well as the online store?
My challenge is how to put what I’ve read about creating a website into practice!
Thank you very much for your support.
Hi Lisa
I have a couple of websites up and running but still consider myself a newbie. The one thing that I really battle with is getting traffic to my sites. When I say traffic I’m talking about traffic other than SEO organic traffic. I have found that relying on Google is not the way to go. I have had sites on page 1, number 1 that have disappeared for no apparent reason. So I would really appreciate some advice on getting traffic to my sites.
Thanks
Lisa
1. Yes I have one website atm. Since Im from Estonia the webpage is also in Estonian. Its a reselling website.
But I would like increase my earning capacity and try out affiliate marketing and AdSense. SinceI have very little experience in these fields I thought I might learn something useful from you.
2. Basically your blog seem to cover everything I was looking for.
*Affiliate marketing
*AdSense
*Getting targeted traffic
3. I would like to learn more about Adsense and getting targeted traffic to my new websites. Also weather to focus more creating usefull content or just gather emails and send offers via email.
4. My biggest challenge right now is getting started. I know about creating a website etc. But I simply donot really know where to invest my time. I know that there are some niches that are more profitable than others. But I do not have a lot of knowledge of these niches. It seems stupid to me to write about online business, if I have a little or none experiencein this field.
1. Yes
2. To learn more.
3. Affiliate Marketing
4. Google adwords. Meeting their requirements to run my site. Writing content for my web pages.
Thanks for you speedy reply!
1) Do you have a website yet?
Nope.
2) Why did you subscribe to my newsletter?
Want to learn what I’ve been doing wrong in my attempts.
3) What would you like to learn more about? Please be specific.
SiteBuildIt and CMS’s (WP, Joomla, Drupal) and how to customize SiteBuildIt templates more/create your own and the overall design of websites.
4) What is your biggest challenge right now? (if any)
Getting traffic. Most definitely.
Am just green.wonna know everything especially marketing.
1. I don’t have a website. Now I am learning and made a mind map, list of keywords, and other general ideeas of how to look my website.
2. I had subscribed because you offer great information, tips and videos, and without you I would still be at those get rich in one night websites.
3. I read alot about almoust everything that I found on the forum, your website, on your channel and e-books. But I don’t know for sure how to structure my website, to be unique, and to be easy to access, like the menu, the articles, etc. I saw websites, good info, but it was challenging to find sometimes a specific info, or menu, or article on them.
4. My biggest challenge is the home page. What to write there, and again, how to make it to look original, not like other thousand websites. 🙂
Thank you again for everything Lisa, without you and your website I would be in the dark even now
1) Do you have a website yet? ~ Yes.. ArticleWriteUp.com and a blog.. 🙂
2) Why did you subscribe to my newsletter? ~ My thoughts.. you are never too old to learn new tricks and anything I can pick up on and share with others to help.. the better. 🙂
3) What would you like to learn more about? Please be specific. ~ Wow.. what wouldn’t I like to learn more about is a better question.. 🙂 I just found out tonight more about Alexa.. and here I thought I knew so much.. but obviously I was proven wrong. When it comes to building a website.. honestly… It is all foreign to me. I can write the content, but the inside workings.. I am a total greenhorn. I did “build” mine on my own.. but still have a long ways to go with the e-commerce, link errors, and the entire ball of wax! I haven’t a clue how to put a site map footer on it and a whole lot more! I am not afraid to say where my skills lack… and they lack severely there!
4) What is your biggest challenge right now? (if any) ~ How to know if I have everything set up right on my website – the nitty gritty’s involved in website building.
Kia Ora Lisa, Well yes I do have a website that belongs to Amazon, and that’s what really got me thinking, build one yourself. I know its a lot of hard work but my willing to give it a go and I know its no quick rich scheme. Firstly it would give me great satisfaction that I actually created something with a little help of course. Money and I wish I had a lot of it well going by the research I’ve read on google that could be some years away. But would appreciate your help to get me going.
Kiwis can fly!!!!
Yes I have a trial website that I have started throught Vista.
I am a travel agent through YTB and I reached out to an affiliate that has been a successful business person for years. He actually referred me to the site with a proposal to collaborate and use your techniques to help us succeed.
Honestly, I would like to know the ins and outs of devoloping a functional website and ways to market the site (traffic). I also want to know the ins and outs of clickbanks with hopes of pushing the traffic to the site, building credibility, having residual income, and succeeding. I want to be able to bring what I have already established into the mix so that I can put my name out in cyberworld and the world of e-commerce.
My biggest challenge, I believe is the lack of knowledge. Knowing the how to’s and having a willing teacher or guide (like yourself) that is willing to share the steps and obstacles that enabled you them to be where they are.
I look forward to your response and hopefully a geniune relationship.
Thanks,
Hi Lisa,
No, I do not have a website yet.
I subscribed to your newsletter because I am tired of reading and watching videos about how someone became a zillionair on line..lots of BS out there I guess. I believe you to be a serious teacher and not throwing your income up in my face. I need a serious teacher and some one who is willing to help and you seem to fit the bill.
I would like to learn the basics right now. All I know is nursing. I retired and now want to do something totally different with my life. I love knitting, reading about knitting and talking about knitting… so, I thought I would start a blog about knitting and the more I read about starting a blog the more I get over whelmed with all this html, css etc.. what the freak??? I need to start out from the bottom rung and start to climb. I need the very basics first.
Thanks, Joan
Hi Lisa,
I am thankful to have found your blog. The following are information that will give you an idea on why I am here….
1) I created a travel blog two months ago, Oct 1st to be exact. Travelling is my passion so much so that I sincerely want to share my travel experiences
2) I find your blog very useful for a beginner like me. I love your style and I believe I can learn a lot from you
3) I am interested in improving my style of writing, to learn how to write a short but interesting topic. To learn how to create a catchy title. To learn how to get traffic to my blog and how to sell myself. To learn how to put humour in my blogs.
4) The biggest challenge is that English is NOT my native language so I feel that I need someone to edit my blog, which is not easy to find. I have so much to write (I plan to blog about all countries/towns/cities I have visited) – so little time.
I am very much looking forward to learning more from your blogs.
Hallo thanks for every thing, am Haggai from Uganda East Africa region and a student at Makerere university offering bachelors in Education, my dream was to deal with computer technology but that was the course that was given to me by the university, am aged 20 years and i would like to learn how to develop web sites even other programs so that i can also be among the great thinker in the world hope u can be my modal in this. thanks hope to here from you soon with a positive reaction. may God bless you
Hey Lisa, that is the coolest intro I have had to any website yet, <3 it. To answer your questions;
1. Yes – amazingcasino.net
2. Our emails are in the thousands – their is no room for b/s in my inbox! Your site is not only free (as ours is still a non-profit organisation..lol..and not by anything except lack of skills and choice), but it felt right (laugh as you will!!). I asked the universe to provide me with what I needed and next thing I know I'm here.
3. Today, I want to learn about divs/tabs/sections and how to use them correctly in HTML5. Yesterday it was tables and spreadsheets. Tomorrow it could be how to keep my google ranking up, next week it will probably be something I have never heard of but somehow need to know. Honestly, I'm winging it Lisa!!
4.My biggest challenges so far
#balancing work and home (5 kids, home owner/renovator + thrown in at the deep end having nothing but passion, heart and determination on my side!!)
#finding the information I need, when I need it and not getting sidetracked!
Hi Lisa,
You have just replied to me on the reason-for-website-failures blog. I have just had a “light bulb” moment.
The reason why we all hold you in such high esteem is because you have this uncanny ability to put yourself “in our shoes” You are incredible at relating to your subscribers and we get unbiased, honest, warm and focused answers and advice. As Affiliate Marketers we need to learn that as well in our businesses – if nothing else.
As the Irish say “may the wind be at your back and the road rise up to meet you” (or words to that effect!)
THANK you.
Wow, Brian! That means a lot!! Thank you sooooo much. 🙂
Hi Lisa – at the moment I don’t have a website – just an idea. For many years I had my own business but the main customers were automotive and housing related- enough said. I closed it in late 2009 and since then I’ve been de-stressing and prioritizing my life. I’ve helped some friends with their businesses and attended several large trade shows and concluded that I don’t want to invest in inventory, or a showroom or vehicles etc.
I like to help people so I decided what would suit my current lifestyle and utilize my skills plus some new ones would be to share my knowledge of specific products with others. So, my first question was blog or website. I previously built a website using Dreamweaver and Adwords to drive traffic and was satisifed with the results. But I don’t really understand the relationship of blog to website and that’s how I found you. I subscribed because you focus on marketing not technological razz matazz. My biggest challenge – converting my idea into something accessible to people and which they will find readable and informative, and of course eventually drive a reveune stream for myself.
i do not own a website yet but hope to have one and make money from my own website
Lisa, it’s great to “meet” you! Carletta of Successful Homeschooling pointed me in your direction. Wow. I’ve already thanked her. Your site is a powerhouse of resources. I love your thoughts on blogs versus static websites. I’ve been working to add pages to my blog (Thesis), and I’m even more convinced of the necessity of that! I so wish I could have a “do-over” and take the dates of my URL structure at my blog. But now my entire linking system would be destroyed. 🙁 I’m stuck with it at this point.
1) Do you have a website yet?
I have two blogs.
2) Why did you subscribe to my newsletter?
I was totally impressed with the posts and videos I saw. I want to read/see anything you say.
3) What would you like to learn more about? Please be specific.
Crafting my blog so that I get the benefits of a static webpage.
4) What is your biggest challenge right now? (if any)
TIME! I have so many ideas and so little time to invest undivided attention to making them happen. (I realize you can’t give me more time, Lisa. But really this seems to be my biggest hurdle.)
I dont have a website address. I have since developed a strong passion about anything that pertains to web and how to generate income out of it in this frustrating economic times. So i have since discovered that you are the right person to be linked with so as to enhance a difference in my life. I really apreciate your open heartedness towards helping people like me who dont know anything that pertains to the web. So anything/information that you think will help me i will gladly accept it and im optimistic that my life will never be the same as long you are there
good day ms. lisa
thank you for your tips…. i want to have my own website …. for my future plan for my kids…. but i am zero knowledge.. but promise i will keep on reading on the free books that i download …… thank you and god bless!!!!
1.) Yes Lisa I have two SBI site’s thru you I may say. I have been following you for 9months to a year now.
2.) I’m new to earning money on the Internet, I have been playing around with this for awhile with my blog, prior to coming across your website. I have been getting nowhere on my own so I it was time to get serious.
3.) How to build traffic and earn money on the web
I’m a Vocational Teacher by trade, here in California or hours have been reduce dramatically, so here I am trying to earn additional income.
4.) understanding google and driving traffic to my web
I have a question for you, if you have time to answer this question?
When you started did you use a program for example Jeff Walker or any thing like is launch program to drive people to your web ?
Hi Nate,
I never did use anything like that. I have been fortunate enough to build my following purely through content and video.
Did my previous comment get submitted? It was quite long and I really don’t want to type it all over again. 🙂
Glad you posted this 2nd comment because the length of it caused it to go to my spam filter. I loaded it. 🙂
1. – I am the owner of Reast Hosting, a web host that offers affordable and reliable UNLIMTED resources shared cloud hosting you can find at http://reasthosting.co.za Under construction at the moment since I changed over to cloud and done away with all the limiting packages, only offering UNLIMITED now at very affordable flat rate.
– I am also the owner of Writescribe™, the word’s most intelligent digital pen you can find at my online shop at http://writescribe.co.za
2. I am a passionate developer and designer myself and have done all my sites on my own learning every step of the way as I go along. All graphics have been designed by myself as well. I am however still in the beginning stages of marketing my websites and driving traffic to them, hence I joined your newsletters in the hope to learn more in that respect.
3. My previous answer pretty much exp0lains what I am looking to learn from your site, but in general it is to provide valuable content and assist my clients and readers with trying to address specific needs they might have. My next project is actually starting to write ebooks on helping them get started with valuable information I wish I had when I first started out, much like your siteguide, the path that led me to your site. 🙂
4. My biggest challenge now, is the actual writing of my first ebook I’m already busy with. More than my main focuss than a challenege, as I know what I want to bring across with it, but to get into the shoes of the reader and their need, and not my own. Then to get a descent cover designed would be my next challenge. I use Photoshop for most of my designs, and I know it can be done in fact I’ll bet yours is done in Photoshop, but I’ll have to do my research on that subject. Then following that would be a descent working and “catching” sales page. Haven’t done that yet either, so basically this whole ebook writing thing is pretty much new to me, but very exciting indeed as you would definitely know. I am also planning on setting up a relevant domain for my first ebook and having my sales page act as my index page, maybe just with an extra Contact Us page and Testimonials I think, still deciding though.
Looking forward to your reply and future advice! All the best of success to the future!
Kind regards,
Ruan Oosthuizen
Hi Ruan
Yep, I use Photoshop. I have these Action Scripts for Photoshop from http://www.coveractionpro.com/
I read some of your blog posts and I thought you were an excellent writer (different from many others I read). I produce a lot of content in my field (financial planning and investments) and I am looking for ways to monetize it.

The presentation of your information is very welcoming and calm for a newbie. I would like to create a website to generate leads to obtain business partners as well as provide information about the business opportunities I provide.
Thank you.

Hi, All my sites are listed at the bottom of this blog.
Hey
Soryy I dont have any thing het m a starter and I almkst saw ur all clips and I also wanna do ame thing like u, 🙂
Hi Lisa,
I think it is very kind of you to be concerned with your followers needs. My mom and I currently own an E-commerce store at http://www.westartathome.com. We’re interested in how to get more traffic, displaying ads, blogging, and linking to other appropriate websites that will help promote our business. We would also like to know more information on writing effective meta tags and descriptions that will get our site noticed more because we make a variety of products that we sell. In addition, we’re interested in all types of marketing techniques that maybe used to build our website to its optimal best. We would also like to know about adding you as a link to our website, because we believe in empowering and informing others on how to start a home based business from the internet. The information you give, we would love to pass onto others that visit our site. Your information has helped and encouraged us a lot on our way to becoming webmasters.
I am interested in learning how to build/design a website. I subcribed to your newletter because I was impressed with your knowledge and honesty. Right now I am teaching myself HTML by using the w3schools.com website, a website you suggested. I am building a web page using Notepad. It is not live on the web, but am working towards that. My biggest challenge is learning the attributes, tags, etc. I am just starting to move into CSS. I am not interested in making money at this stage just learning the art of webpage design.
Thanks,
Mike
Hi Lisa,
I have 3x.com websites. One of them still has to be started. The one that I have listed as my website is the first one that I got up and running.
I also have several blogs…well they are not really blogs, more mini websites using blogger.
Why did I subscribe to your newsletter? Well, I came across your site a few months ago. Sorry, can’t remember how I came across it. I found it to be full of fantastic information for the blogger or webmaster/mistress who is just starting out, and for the more experienced marketer. So, I just had to subscribe to your newsletter to make sure that I didn’t miss out on any new tips and gems of information that you may be happy to dish out.
My main challenge at the moment and what I would like to learn more about is how to attract more buying customers to my websites and increase and maintain my position on the search engines. The website that I have put on here, using its main keywords, seems to maintain it’s position at the bottom of page one on google.com.
Thanks for putting together an amazing website, and I look forward to receiving your newsletters as and when you send out updates.
Best regards
Rog
Hi Lisa,
1) Do you have a website yet?
Yes, but for my freelance consulting business, not one where the intent is to make passive income via affiliate marketing, adsense, etc.
2) Why did you subscribe to my newsletter?
I enjoyed the articles on your site/blog, and I’m moving towards the Internet lifestyle of being your own boss….
3) What would you like to learn more about? Please be specific.
I would like to learn more about engaging your audience, trying to discern different business models which let you choose the number of hours your work (for instance, Lisa I realize you may work eight hours a day or sometimes none at all, but it would be great if you could tell us about Model A – which lets you work 2 hours/day @52 weeks/year, Model B – which lets you work 8 hours/day but with one month off, etc if that’s even possible), and maybe turning a consulting based income into a product/affiliate based income over time.
4) What is your biggest challenge right now? (if any)
My biggest challenge is deciding what industry/niche to get involved in. I realize it’s a long term endeavor so I’m trying to mix something I really enjoy but that will also bring me leveraged income over time. It’d be great if there was a way to get an revenue/profit average by the various “industries” or niches online. This would help me pick and see what business would be right for me. I also want to setup a business that would allow me time to pursue hobbies as well.
Hi Lisa,
I have a blog.
I subscribed to your newsletter because your successful and I’m trying to learn from successful people.
I’d like to learn how to bring in more traffic without spending money I’m not making.
I’d like to learn how to bring in more viewers and therefore earn money. Maybe have someone see what I’m not doing right and help me fix it.
Thanks for all your tips and I hope that some day soon, I’ll get them to work for me.
Hi Lisa:
About a year ago I came across your site (while just browsing). I was fascinated by your story of how you tried and persevered until you reached a level of success. I filed away the info. and continued to search for online opportunities that required no money, or very little money to start.
About six months ago I started two Blogger blogs — one about Reggae music, of which I’m knowledgeable from a jounalistic standpoint, and the other is about politics, social issues, etc. I started them merely to keep practising my writing as a journalist.
I have no qualms in telling you that articles (posts) on each blog is well researched and presented. However, I’m not talking about moneytizing them yet until I can have them looking the way I want them to look. The problem is, I don’t know HTML and CSS; not even to make a box in my sidebar and it’s killing me.
Your advice, please Madam?
Lionel

Hello Lisa,
I love your work. It is simple and straight forward. I admire your success and your willingness to share to help others be successful.
I am interested in understanding how to best create and charge for affiliate marketing and advertisements. Like other, I am interested in driving traffic to my website (about to launch).
Thank you,
BA
Hi Lisa,
I subscribed to your newsletter long ago because I find your quality of content fantastic. You are one of the few people in this industry who I have no doubts about in terms of commitment to helping others succeed.
Id like to learn more about the static site building with WP and my biggest worry is that I cant seem to get started. I am fast running into trouble financially with a chronically ill wife and I’m 66. I just want to get something started and slowly build up.
I am a great fan of yours and look forward tremendously to your videos and posts.
Hi, I’m an English student and I have no clue on how to creat a website. I’m just trying to find out weather will I be able to create a decent website or not, its like a challenge for me, and at the same time I would be saving my partners the trouble of seeking a professional assistance, since our financial fond is limited. I was so impressed with all the work you have done here its gigantic and unbelievably thorough. I have already downloaded the PDF on how to create a website and I just can’t thank you enough for it 🙂
Thank you Lisa for the freebies that you give to people in general,I would like to be on your mailing list,to pick up as much information as I can, because I need to bring in some extra income,as I have lots of bills, with no help to pay them.
I need to be able to work from home. I follow you because you show that you know what you are doing. You also don’t keep your hand in (our pockets) as some do,and leave you with nothing to show for it,but some empty pockets.
Thank you.
1) Do you have a website yet?
