Thank you Lisa for this review. I really appreciated the part about creating a free ebook with valuable content. While I’ve heard lots of people say that creating one is a good idea, I’ve never heard anyone say why its such a good idea so clearly.
I also thought the part about widgets in relationship to important website real estate was insightful and valuable. It is tempting as a web designer to start getting widgets and throwing them up everywhere. I appreciated the explanation of why you shouldn’t do this.
Thanks again!

This was a really helpful review, Lisa.
I think that Cathy put together a very nice Blog that will serve her readers well. However, Lisa, your review hits some Key Points that if Cathy implements she’ll gain even more loyal visitors, and EVERYONE can learn from.
Lisa, I’ve recommended your Blog to others, after my brother recommended it to me. And everyone enjoys your content, as well as your “swagger” in your videos.
Keep sharing your pretty smile, your spirit, and your insights with the masses…

Good work Cathy. I like the creativity that comes with the domain name and the header. It’s actually an interesting blog thats why the visits are high after a month of launch.
Lisa, thanx for the good work, obviously learned some points eg site polls or survey. Very helpful.
Cheers

Another excellent review! Excellent tips on the header. My first header many years ago, was just what you said not to do. Large text on a dark background, and it’ didn’t say what the site was about.
Widgets…Back in my Tripod days, they had the same thing only called them something else. Your right, back then I was new and thought it was nice to put a ton of these things on the site.
All it did was mess up my rather nice, neat pages. I never made a dime off of anything, and like you say, all it did was redirect traffic from my site to someone elses.
You’ve made a believer out of me on the top nav bar. I always had the left column one. I think it was Rita’s site that had the most important nav on top and sectional type on the left. I really think that is the way to go.
Again, very nice review, which we can all learn from.
